Dublin MNers? Or anyone who knows about live traditional music in Dublin.

We are visiting Dublin for a few days over the Easter holiday holidays. DD15 absolutely loves folk music of all traditions, but especially Irish folk. I would really like to be able to take her to hear some live when we are in Dublin. However, it seems that much of the live traditional music happens in pubs later on in evening, which she obviously won’t be able to join in with.

does anyone happen to know of a teen friendly venue I could take her to in Central Dublin?

As far as I know the key places for traditional music will be in temple bar (perhaps Google "the temple bar pub") or for more authentic music the cobblestone in Smithfield is good.

An alternative would be to travel out of town to go to Johnny Foxes which is more of a traditional Irish "show@

Unfortunately most of the best trad music is outside of Dublin / the West of Ireland 🇮🇪

Also suggest posting this on Craicnet topic in addition to chat. This is the topic covering all things Irish / members in Ireland

Also - 15 will be fine to stay in these touristy pubs til 9 or 10 if you are ok with them being in that environment. Not strictly legal but if with parents most touristy pubs will turn a blind eye.
