I asked a man I don't know well to undo my bra in a public place this afternoon

And wondered how my life came to this.

We'd run a race. A long one and I was tired and cold and wet. Trying to change my clothes and get warm, but struggling to undo the clasp on my soggy sports bra. So I asked a passing club mate, who did it without a murmur and then turned his back while I changed the rest of my clothes.

I used to be embarrassed to look anything less than (my idea of) perfect in public. 😆

You were simply another human asking for assistance and it was kindly given. Bet that run felt great! Some tips you might already know to help you if you don't have help and need to get changed outdoors: I usually know ahead of time if I will be am unable to change at a public restroom or in a shelter provided for runners to change: I put my ultra lightweight outer shell on without putting my arms inside, zip it up and roll my bra off or unclasp it. Then I roll on a top. I use it to change my bottoms as well. Zipping it to the hips and tying the arms around my waist to lessen pressure on the zip. I've become clever with this out of necessity but being physically flexible is a must. This was how we changed when backpacking in groups without tents.
