Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I've just made my first cuppa of the day & am thinking about getting breakfast - probably cereal since no-one else is up.

We haven't got much planned for the day. House needs a tidy round, there are a million pots to wash up, and a load of washing up to be done so I'll get on with those shortly. I'm going to make a chicken and leek pie for tea too, probably chuck the last of the mushrooms in as well 😋

The only thing we did want to do is watch the Eras Tour movie & make some bracelets to trade at our concert. Dd1 half volunteered to go to Lidl for snacks but it's raining so I think she'll change her mind.

Dd2 needs to finish tidying her room too - she started yesterday but has dumped a lot of stuff to finish off today 🙄 I'll see if she wants some help but she said no yesterday 🤷‍♀️

Tonight I'll read the last of my book, and maybe start the new one in my series. Dd2 has been watching 911 so will probably watch more of that. And dd1 will most likely find herself sat with me to do the homework she keeps saying she's getting to starting but hasn't looked at 🤷‍♀️

Then early nights all round ready for the coming week 💤

What about all of you? 🙂

Im going to spend as much time outside as possible today, after a day on the house yesterday.

Will go for a run and then walk down to do a food shop, and probably pick up some tasty bakery food for lunch. Then have some work to do and the pile of clothes for Vinted listing is staring at me accusingly!

Rowgtfc72 · 17/03/2024 10:19

On my second cuppa sat on the couch with sleeping sausage dog on my knee watching TV.
Need to sit near the window as dd has gone for her first driving lesson and I want to watch her return😁
This afternoon will be mostly spent helping dd tidy her room.

Morning! Still in bed after being out last night which is rare!

DH is downstairs making breakfast, can hear one of the dcats destroying a cardboard box.

Plan to do very little today before picking DD up at 4pm. Think I may bake some creme egg brownies and maybe a ginger cake. Need to wrap DHs birthday presents for tomorrow.

Nice to have a day where there's no rushing around so want to make the most of it!

Good morning everyone. We’ve had our usual Sunday morning slow start. Dd16 has her first day at her new job today working in a bakery from 9.30am-4pm and dd19 is working 12-6pm.

I have my 11yo niece here who came for a sleepover last night with dd9. They’re both awake but quiet upstairs and dd19 and her friend who also stayed are both still asleep.

Just me and dh downstairs so it’s nice and peaceful.

I’ve no huge plans today. I need to do some washing, iron uniform and go and buy cat food as I used the last of it this morning but that’s all that needs to be done really so I think it’ll be a nice, chilled day today. I might buy a book when I nip out for cat food so I can read this afternoon.

We’re having roast chicken for tea then showers and probably an early night tonight ready for school and me going back to work after having last week off on annual leave (I’m dreading it!).

scoobysnaxx · 17/03/2024 10:28

Last Sunday here.

Breastfeeding in bed currently, DP snoring next to me.

Hoping he'll get up and make tea and bacon sandwiches for brekkie.

I badly need to wash my hair after, DP will have to take DC.

Usual Sunday pottery. Ironing uniform, clearing up.

Will travel to in laws later for a roast.

frozendaisy · 17/03/2024 10:36

Recently got woken by the kids setting the fire alarms off making scrambled eggs, for themselves, gratitude you see!

Still trying to kick H downstairs it's way over his turn to make coffee.

Then I will be relearning some of my GCSE chemistry with eldest.

Slowly make a pork roast dinner, get ready for week ahead, couple of glasses of wine.

Start watching The Gentleman series on netflix with nippers, Guy Richie always worth a gander.

Morning @lucysmam and all. Happy Sunday.
Currently warming up after a long run in the pouring rain! Sunday doesn't feel the same without a run along the Thames even when it's miserable.
I'm heading to decathlon soon to pick up some bits for my upcoming holiday.
I'll cook a roast and then watch some more of The Gentleman.
Have a great Sunday

Decafflatteplease · 17/03/2024 11:16

Morning @lucysmam and all!

It was my turn for a lie in today but I switched it for a lovely long bath, twas glorious! Hair mask, face mask, book, DH brought me tea. Feeling all cosy now.

Teens are out with friends, little ones are playing. DH needs to pop to the shops for some bits for a project, I'm going to do homework/reading with little ones.

I need to pop out to post some vinted parcels this afternoon aswell.

This evening we are having cottage pie for tea and I'll make a slow cooker banana bread for snacks for the week.

Id really like an early night and to get some reading done, I started a new book this morning, love starting a new book on a Sunday so hopefully I'll get some reading done this evening.

Have a lovely Sunday all!

Good ‘morning’ we’ve had a day in the woods today and we haven’t long been home, it was very very muddy, and of course the dog decided at the very last minute before we got in the car to jump all over us, little swine.

For those who were reading yesterday, not a single strand of hair was cut on our sons head 🤣

The littlest has had a growth spurt, so we’re sorting through her old clothes later so we can put them all in size and season bundles for the baby bank.

Crunchymum · 17/03/2024 12:44

Still "nursing" DC2 back to health so she can go on her residential tomorrow.

She was so rotten yesterday I thought it was game over but she's woken up like a different child so fingers crossed (she has asthma and a nasty cough has triggered her needing her inhaler but touch wood she's managing fine today!)

In my devotion to looking after DC2 the other two have been neglected so Daddy has taken them to the cinema and then they are off to the inlaws for a roast dinner and to see some visiting family.

DC2 is soon going to pack her case [she is insanely excited] and I am making her request of toad in the hole for dinner a bit later. I'll stick a film on for her at some point to calm her down as she won't sit still and she still needs to rest up.

Soccermumamir · 17/03/2024 12:44

Hi everyone,

It was lovely here yesterday, even got to sit in the garden with a cup of coffee which was nice. Raining today, but just got back from the gym and have a 2nd wash on. About to have a dinner and my 4th cup.of coffee lol

Spaghetti bolognaise tonight for tea 😊

Soccermumamir · 17/03/2024 12:46

Oh and the builders are in next door again, so peace and quiet are out of the endow today 🤦‍♀️

mrsbyers · 17/03/2024 13:16

I’ve been tidying the kitchen after husband decided to make Welsh cakes yesterday and left a mess

Dishwasher on , washer and dryer on

Watched latest MAFS from Oz ‘tonight’

Going to have a bath and condition my hair then off for a sushi making class with my best mate - a mutual birthday gift thing

Tonight I will be eating said sushi and potting some seeds for our new allotment

SadlyACupOfTeaDoesNotSolveEverything · 17/03/2024 13:19

I have been to boot camp then went for coffee with a few gym friends afterwards.

Home, showered and changed (DH did a load of laundry and cleaned the bathroom when I was gone) then heading for a late lunch with and all the kids.

Peridot1 · 17/03/2024 13:41

Good afternoon @lucysmam and everyone.

Lazy day here although I have just done a load of ironing.

I was awake at 5.30am but had had seven hours at that stage so can’t complain. Planned on staying in bed reading for a while but Dog decided 6.10 was time to start her day too. So I got up.

Washed a load of shirts early which I have now ironed. So much easier when they haven’t been languishing in the ironing basket for weeks!

Planning on reading for the rest of the afternoon and DH is cooking roast pork for dinner. There will be wine and maybe a Bailey’s as it’s St Patrick’s Day.☘️
