I think I have a mini egg addiction

I can’t walk pass a packet in a shop without buying and devouring.

The serving size is supposed to be 8 eggs - what nonsense is that?!?!?!

By the time a nuclear apocalypse comes a) I will have built up a mini egg tolerance and won’t be able to eat enough and b)I won’t have built a stash anyway as I keep eating them!

Mini eggs are my nemesis. I always end Christmas thinking ‘right that’s it, time to eat healthily’, then the bloody mini eggs appear on the shelves before the year is out.

Yes. The orange ones 🤤

SneakySnakeEx · 26/03/2024 13:09

I ate 1kg bag in a day. Well in 3 hours.
I cannot stop myself if i buy them. I did resist putting in trolley for the last wm2 weeks though

I was planning to make an Easter cake for some guests coming over - really needs to be decorated with mini eggs. Practically compulsory.

But I am going shopping today - how do I not eat them all before I need them for baking!

I need a link to a 1kg bag of mini-eggs.

Is it because they taste like Cadbury's used to? They do to me. Maybe they use the old recipe.

I'm in NZ, and those (along with curly wurlies) are two of the Cadbury products you can buy that are made in Europe (Poland I think) rather than Australia. I think the Australian recipe is slightly different to give chocolate a higher melting point.

I'm so upset about the 190 calorie info.

Justonedayatatime11 · 27/03/2024 11:04

@AmaryllisNightAndDay if you go on cadburysgiftsdirect.co.uk you'll find them on there

shrumps · 27/03/2024 11:09

Have you tried putting them in the microwave!?! Next. Level. They turn into little crunchy nuggets of gooey fabulousness.

That is a great idea!!

Just out of interest, how long should one heat them for, please?

shrumps · 27/03/2024 12:11

Just until you see a tiny crack in the shells - then they are melted but not molten!

EmilyPlay · 27/03/2024 12:17

Try the Easter edition Terrys chocolate orange. It's got crushed mini eggs in it.

AmaryllisNightAndDay · 27/03/2024 12:28

I found the kilo bag! But Cadbury's says "out of stock". I am heartbroken.

Figgygal · 27/03/2024 12:30

Did you know that Waitrose (other retailers are available) are currently selling 1kg bags of them? Yep. One whole kilo. It's a lot of mini eggs, I can tell you 😳

Like turning up to an AA meeting and telling everyone where they can get free bottles of wine 🙄🤣

Many years ago DH was a baker for one of the major supermarkets . They were supplied with a large bucket - about 20 litres- of mini eggs for decorating meringue nests etc. I don't know how he managed to control himself ...
