Income now ended on tax code

I just recieved my tax code for the upcoming financial year and am feeling a bit confused. I have two jobs currently, my main job is getting £8134 of my income tax free my second job is geting £0. The remaining £4355 is attributed to income now ended. I did have 3 jobs last year but gave one up as I was knackered. It doesn't make sense to count income that I'm not going to make in my tax free allowance.

If it makes adifference I tend to get a chunky tax rebate as I put into a nest pension which gets paid after tax and then every April the government (kindly, many thanks) gives me all the tax back, it could very well be £4k or so but I don't know why it'd be down as income.

If anyone understands tax codes or can point me in the right direction, it'd be much appreciated.

Give HMRC a call, they must think you are still in your 3rd job so you need to set the record straight. You will be entitled to your full tax free personal allowance (unless there is a repayment etc due from previous years), so they just need to allocate it correctly.

I do remember last year (wish I'd kept the letter)they detailed the third job but this one definitely says income now ended. I don't think there should be a repayment of tax from previous years. They send me a cheque every year and the code for underpayment is different. I will call them I suspect I will spend a long time on hold though
