Prison sentences, sense at last

Announced today that non-violent prisoners will be released early to help the current overcrowding in prisons.
A sensible solution finally

This would not relate to IPP prisoners though because those sentences were brought in for people who were a risk to the public.

Most prisoners only serve half their sentence anyway, and get released on day release/license beforr that. So I don't really know how much difference 2 months will make in real terms.
