Can anyone help me find what I'm looking for? Bars for windows, very lame diagram inside.

So DS1s bedroom is now downstairs.

His window has a large pane then a 2nd pane above which opens outwards, this is a significant sized window a grown man could easily climb through.

When summer comes around we need to be able to open the window so DS can sleep comfortably but obviously it being ground floor this is a security risk.

I need bars that come out like a triangle to allow for the window opening.

Would I need to get them custom made? Does anyone know of a company in the NW that does this?

I've tried googling but can't find anything.

In the case of a fire the large bottom window would just be smashed (he has a glass smashing tool by the bed)

Can you put bars on the inside?

It would be far cheaper to just change the window for one that suits your needs with a small top opening and a large bottom window that is locked but can be used as an exit in emergency.

The design you've drawn look like they could just be yanked off from the outside, using the "base" of the triangle cage to pull on. Either look at bats on the inside, or get the window reversed, so the upper section opens inwards, then you can put bars on the outside of the upper window.

Is there a reason you aren’t considering a limiter that restricts how far the window opens? That’s the usual approach.

To add, this sort of thing in the sides of the window

I live in a really shitty area and don't feel that's sufficient enough.

Bars on the inside. Of course 😂😭 Feel. Like a right plonker now

It's rented, I can't change the window.

I love to make things complicated apparently 😂

Yes, thanks. I will do this.

Found some in seconds that would be perfect.
