Welcome to the MN Unofficial Oscar’s Fashion Awards 2024!

Following on from a BAFTA fashion thread on Style and Beauty we thought it might be fun to hold a vote for the best dressed of the night.

This thread welcomes all talk fashion however when you are ready to “vote” for the best dressed, please for the purposes of my sanity clearly state:

Using sophisticated technology my abacus, I will tally up the votes and announce the winners at lunchtime tomorrow (Monday). If you list more than one person then I will count the first name you give only.

Of course, if no one participates then I will be holding a pity-party in my living room. All welcome, there will be Karaoke.

I liked Carey Mulligan, Kerry Washington (might have been an after party dress), Jamie Lee Curtis and Evan Longoria.

I thought that Kardashian/Jenner women all looked great at the vanity fair party.

America Ferreira gets my vote too. Simple, gorgeous, just love it. Emma Stone’s peplum monstrosity however is just that, lol. Eva Longoria’s dress is stunning but I didn’t even recognise her at first - had a little work done maybe?

Greta Lee looks gorgeous and should have been nominated for Past Lives. I like America Ferrara's dress, Anya Taylor Joy's dress and Hailee Seinfeld's dress because its fun. Emma Stone's is not great and the zip broke.

I agree about Emma Stone. I thought colour of her dress washed her out and the peplum was very dated.

My favourite dress of her's is the yellow one she wore on 2014. The colour was great on her. Or the gold column dress she wore to the 2017 Oscars.

Hailee Steinfeld is my favourite.

Ariana Grande looks like a cock and balls.

Zendaya is my favourite. Such an interesting gown and so perfectly fitted. Jeanne Moore comes a close second for the fabulous blue of her gown.

I love the two old ladies too - Chang Li Hua and Yi Yan.

Honourable mentions to Nicky Bentham, Elizabeth Cohen, Lupita Nyong'o, and Gabrielle Union. Ooh. And Lynette Howell Taylor, though I think that dress is more Golden Globes than Oscars.

2012 Golden Globes is my fave look for her

I’ve just said in the S&B thread about Flo getting the nips and knickers out again. I’m beyond bored of seeing her in see through dresses at this point

Zendaya looks other-worldly. Just incredible.

I love Billie Eilish’s look, too.

Da’vine Joy Randolph looks fab - love the colour on her.

The less said about Emily Blunt’s Y-fronts, the better. How did anyone not notice and say something?

Does she not realise we all have nipples too and it is therefore not shocking in the slightest? I hope someone buys her a vest for her birthday.

It was Zendayas hair and make-up that really made it for me. She looked gorgeous.

The votes have been counted and the winner of the best dressed at the Oscars 2024 is....

America Ferrera!

In joint second place is Eva Longoria, Carey Mulligan and Zendaya.

And the winner of the Fashion Raspberry award is...Emily Blunt.

Zendaya too. I remember when I saw her in Greatest Showman, wondering how amyone could look so beautiful.

Emily Blunts dress was bonkers. The Y fronts part was the weirdest thing ever. I don't understand why that would be a design, without anyone pointing out that it looked like tighty whiteys
