...I recently bought some mesh "bags" to wash delicates, wired bras etc in after decades of just chucking stuff in. Or just very rarely wearing anything that was difficult to wash. I now feel very grown up whenever I use them! (I'm early 50s, and actually used some of my birthday money last year on them, ffs!) 😂

I got paid a bonus and instead of treating myself to something nice, I paid it all into my pension in order to be tax efficient. I felt that I’d reached peak adult.

I started to feel like an adult when I learned to drive in my 50s (never needed to before, Melbourne has lots of public transport) and only really when I had to put my mother into care recently and am for the first time in my life living alone.

Toast is definitely a meal and I don't own an iron, though. 😄
