Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I've just made my first cuppa of the day & am now firmly parked in my spot for the next hour or so, while I drink it. Dd2's already up so it might not be peaceful for long though.

The washer's already on & there are a few pots to wash up from last night. Not many though - we had takeaway 😋

The girls are off shopping for something for Mothers Day soon-ish, with their dad. They tried on their own last week but struggled. Dd2 announced last night that she's going to get pj's - suits me fine 😊

Dd1's going from town to work for 2pm. Not sure what time she finishes though, must get her to check.

I'm taking advantage & heading into town alone for a wander. I want a shampoo bar from Lush and a couple of other things. Might pop into Superdrug for a look at the makeup, see if anything takes my fancy, or maybe a sniff of the perfumes 👃. I might even nip to B&M!

This afternoon I plan to stitch the last of my bead tassels on my Eras Tour jacket, then pin where I want to put some more when my beads arrive. Dd2 has her maths homework to finish so I'll see if she wants to sit with me and do it.

Not sure what's for tea yet, I'll look after posting this and see what we have.

Tonight I'll pick up Murdle again, I'm stuck again 🙈 hopefully a few days break will help me see what I'm missing!

I'm solo parenting today as have given DH a much needed day alone. I've been away with work most of the week and he's had to do all the heavy lifting re: kids. So I've done football lessons with DS this morning and have just picked up his friend for a play date. An hour in the trampoline place then to the park as the weather is glorious here. Home for pizzas and Gladiators then drop him back home. Looking forward to whatever DH has planned for Mother's Day tomorrow, my first without my lovely Mumma 😢

Have been manically tackling all the chores today so there is nothing for tomorrow. Ive also taken 2 of 3 DC swimming and been shopping (despite having a food delivery booked tomorrow)

Have a party for one DC soon, a play date for another at the park and a friend coming over to hang out with the eldest.

Not cooking later but the kids will have bolognese on jacket spuds with salad and DP and I will have a Charlie Bingham meal when he is home later. He's at work and needs his job finished and cleared today so could be a long day.

Lovely sunny day here today. I got up and took DS1 to football training and went to Morrison’s before picking him up.

Came home and got cracking on veg prep for the Roast dinner tonight, DP’s mum is coming over tonight as tomorrow is hectic with kids clubs etc.

I also picked up a reduced stew pack of veg so have made a massive bowl of soup for the week for 65p!

The kids have had pizza for lunch and now DS2 and DSD are playing Among Us on the sofa by me and DS1 and DSS are playing on a Wii in the snug - not sure why they’ve all gone retro today but as long as they’re happy.

DP is on call today but it’s peaceful so far so we should be able to watch the rugby this afternoon.

Tomorrow the kids all go to their other parents and DP is cooking me a special dinner for Mother’s Day (even though I’m not his mother or the mother of his kids!) He’s a good egg!

I've treated us to a joint of beef from the market for tomorrow & am just relaxing with a Costa. Still no idea what to cook tonight 🤔 dd2's decided she'll have the remains of her pizza from last night though.

Change of plan for me today. I’m now going to my sister’s for pizza and Prosecco and so dd9 can play with my niece at their house instead.

This is a much nicer afternoon/evening than moving bedroom furniture around so that is now dh’s problem to sort on his own 😂

I have spent quite a long time this morning FaceTiming with my son, who has been ill. We share a lot of enthusiasms about science fiction and astronomy, etc, so we have had a great chat, he was laughing, which is the best medicine, and it reassured me a bit about his health.

DH and I are both reeling a bit from the cancer diagnosis yesterday on our older lab, so we are concentrating on making her last days happy, which will involve outrageous spoiling.
We have today reinstituted a three meal a day regime, so that she can hopefully absorb more nourishment without upsetting her digestion.
This means that other two also get a morsel at the same time, to look as though it's fair dos, or all hell would break loose.

It's sunny but cold here and as much as I should be gardening, I'm not going to. Instead, I ate lemon cheesecake for brunch and I'm going to watch Series 2 of Extraordinary.

I have a coven gathering tonight, to which I'm taking pizza and Shiraz. DH is having venison steak. (Sharing it with the old dog)

It's my 50th birthday party tonight (my actual birthday was Thursday), and I'm sitting in the kitchen in my pyjamas, making scones and focaccia and putting the finishing touches to my fancy dress.

I'm feeling alternating waves of excitement and terror- this is way the biggest party I've ever hosted. At 4.00pm I'm going to pick up my friend with his sound system, then we'll go to the pub and set up, and a couple of good friends will arrive early to help, and their company will help me feel better I'm sure.

It doesn't help that I had an interrupted night's sleep. The cats' belated birthday present to me was a live mouse, which woke me up by climbing up the curtains in my bedroom at 1.00am. I shall draw a veil over the ensuing shenanigans.

Morning all! Actually, that should be afternoon!

My cleaner can't make it in this weekend so I've been cleaning and washing this morning. I then popped into town to get some flowers for my DM, DSis and DIL for tomorrow, my back went in the shop and so had to get a taxi back for an 8 minute walk. The driver said he accepted cards but then pulled up outside a cash point and said he'd rather have the cash. Very odd.

Travelling a couple of hours for a big family meal in a restaurant to celebrate a milestone birthday and mother's day tomorrow, so I'll have to be up early and I won't get home until late. Bah!

I live up North but this was delivered by the Cornish Company. It was delicious! I'm not letting myself order another one for a while though 🙃
