By mistake, jewellery given to charity.

I am devastated to realise, too late, that I have given away 2 items of precious jewellery to charity.
A gold pendant of great sentimental value and a Tiffany item, likewise.
I dropped them, contained in a little silk storage purse, by accident, when clearing out, with other items in my hand.
Have you done anything similar?
I feel so upset.

Strikes me OP that if anyone has had a proper look at the jewellery, it may have been put on their eg Ebay shop as high value items. Worth a look?

Update:
Charity shop will contact the place they send their precious items to for further evaluation so they can search on my behalf.
The shop has been wonderful. So caring.

Im not holding my breath but at least I’ve tried.

Good luck. That's so tough for you.
Years ago, I carrier bagged up some discarded toys with dd. Unknown to me, she added in 2 precious teddy bears, not hers. It was awful. Tried everything to find them again.
My dm did it with my dolls' house when I was 8. It had furniture in made by my df, and little baskets and cradles carved from walnut shells and 50+ years later, I am still not over it.

I always worry about something like this happening when I'm sorting out stuff for charity. I'm glad the shop has been so helpful and am keeping everything crossed for you.
