Shoe stress.

My daughter had wide, flat feet and also sensory issues.
we are seriously struggling to find a pair of shoes that fit her and she’s currently wearing either sliders or wellies which isn’t always ideal.

we have tried every brand, bobux, start rite, Froddo, geox, sketchers (they were our go to but they’ve made them narrow now), Petasil, next, you name it we’ve tried them all but every shoe is just too tight or feels strange to her on the back of her feet.
We used to go to an independent shoe shop but then my daughter would pretend the shoes were okay and get home and refuse to wear them, so I stopped that as at £80 a go it wasn’t great.
the issue also is that now she’s a size 1 for some reason they stop doing the wide fit option with so many shoes! Every time I got to find a pair, they only ever go up to a 12/12.5.
It’s driving me absolutely crazy that I cannot find any shoes at all!

Can anyone with kids similar recommend anything else that I’ve maybe not tried please 🙏🏻

What sort of shoes are you looking for and what will she wear ?

Have you tried BGreater? Nice and wide, barefoot, my little boy has wide foot and high instep and lives in their trainers. I think we are on our fourth pair.

Oh and they are reasonably priced! Think £35 rather than >£50+ which is what we paying for Geox

Wide flat feet here. Boys/men's shoes are usually wider than girls/women's ones. And many look similar or are actually the same designe

Totally flat feet (so much his ankles roll in) and massive sensory issues here- he wears crocs in the summer and Ugg type boots in the winter.

For school doc martens boots a bit big (he finds a bit big with a foam insole added the most comfortable).

The rheumatologist said that barefoot as much as possible is the best thing for flat feet.

Have you tried Vivo Barefoot? These are basically the only brand my son would tolerate on his feet when he was younger. They are really light with a wide toe box. They are £££ though
