...if you don't have a child at the school?
I'd like to take my daughters to see plays and concerts, but it seems OTT to travel into the city and book some world-class professional production at great expense. I'd rather they see older kids like them, and see it as something normal they could be part of too (as they continue their schooling). I feel like a decent secondary school production would be just as entertaining, in its own way.
I remember when I was growing up, my high school drama society would advertise tickets and presumably local people went along (as well as parents). Is this still a thing? If so, how do you find out what's on? There are loads of secondary schools near us as we live in a densely populated area, but I haven't noticed them advertising tickets.
