Have been some food related threads floating around, or perhaps I’m just hungry….

got me thinking, what are weird and unusual food combos or habits that make you or others go wtf!!

I have to let my toast go stone cold before I butter it otherwise it’s inedible. I always put two extra strong Yorkshire teabags in my mug and leave them in while drinking said tea so it gets stiffer as you go.

my ex-partner ate pizza with a fork and chicken wings with disposable plastic gloves (psychopath I know).

my DP eats cold black pudding straight from the packet, like one might peel and eat a banana

This thread has reminded me that as a student I used to love cheese on toast made with a neat layer of bacon frazzles under the melted cheese. Might need to bring it back in to my life now....

😂some of these are nuts. My oh thinks I'm gross because I start eating pudding before I finish chewing my savory course so I suppose the savory/sweet thing is a thing. Any savory salty thing with chocolate is epic though like the riz with chocolate.

I remember the adverts from 25 years ago advertising pretzels covered in chocolate. The adverts were like all mock shocked. Pretzels!!??? Covered in chocolate!!?? They were lush though. It's the salt enhancing the flavour.

Dairy milk and ready salted crisps eaten together.
Marmite and Piccalilli straight from the jar.

The McFlurry and fries thing is a perfect combo!

Salt makes almost anything taste better.

a Japanese snack you can buy in convenience stores is cold mashed potato sandwiches, white plastic bread. All sealed up like twinkies to survive a nuclear blast.

I put mayo with almost anything. Dahl, chilli con carne, omelette -- I'll chuck a dollop of mayo on my plate.

German dark rye bread (the sort that has no wheat in, very bitter and dense) broken up and mixed into cold supermarket ready-made custard.

That sounds interesting. Definitely one to try

On the sweet and savoury theme, I used to love golden syrup on scrambled eggs.

HEY I thought this was a judgement-free zone

Ha! I thought mine was one of the less bizarre combos!
