Does anyone know which eurocamp sites are nearest to Argeles-Sur-Mer?
Thanks in advance!

And the best way to get there from the UK?!
Honestly, I'm hopeless at holiday planning 😬

I haven't visited that area myself but if you go on eurocamp.co.uk you can do a search. Search for sites in the Languedoc-Roussillon region then you can click explore map. There seem to be loads in and around the town. Ryanair fly to Perpignan.

We went to Le Bois de Valmarie with Canvas holidays (similar to Eurocamp). Was ok but we have been to many better sites and regions. We flew into Toulouse and rented a car.

L'Hippocampe and La Sirene are both close to Argeles. We used to fly into Carcassone and then pick up a hire car. You could also fly into Perpignan?

Omg I can actually comment on this! We stayed at the Eurocamp site at La Chapelle in Argeles-Sur-Mer back in September. It was a very short walk to the beach and there was a Tesco Metro sized Intermarche across the road, as well as three very handy bakeries. All along the beach there are restaurants of varying quality and price points. The pool area at the campsite was great, DD had a ball. No complaints whatsoever, it was just what we wanted for our first trip away with two kids.

We flew from Dublin to Perpignan and then it was about a thirty minute drive to Argeles-Sur-Mere from there. We drove to Collioure one day (very nice) and also to Perpignan which is lovely as well, great for a bit of shopping. There’s a tourist bus that goes to Perpignan at regular intervals as well.

My husband always goes on FB and finds a group dedicated to hotels/regions when we book a holiday, and there was one for this campsite. We loved having the car but there are plenty who skip it and just stay in the town for the duration of their holiday or use the aforementioned bus/taxis.

@TheCraicDealer - agree, Colliure is really lovely to visit.

Are you flying or driving?

Thanks everyone, so much helpful information!

Flying I think? Or would driving be preferable?!
I'm new to foreign travel 😂

Driving.

But I love driving in France so I am biased Grin
We took 2 days to get down - but enjoyed ourselves on the way down.

Depends - we usually take the ferry from either Newhaven to Dieppe or Dover - Calais - but some people go to Normandy and drive down.
