How much for travel insurance?

We're off on holiday in June to Greece so need travel insurance. But to complicate it we all have our issues, one traveller has mild asthma, one type 2 diabetes, one with autism although he's totally independent and another awaiting treatment for ingrown toenails, fifth traveller awaiting a blood test. I've been quoted £180 for multi trip cover. Does this seem reasonable?

Seems not bad for 5 people
Do make sure you have declared everything tho...even things from years ago

Sounds about right - however, check your bank account as you may have travel insurance included (we have it with a Natwest account).

Yes. We paid about £250 for annual worldwide (inc. expensive USA) for two of us with a variety of minor issues.

Read the policy wording carefully - some require you to declare everything from the last 5 years, others two. Once I’d found a likely option on the search sites I went directly to the insurer’s site to be sure I was definitely answering the right questions.

You may have difficulty with getting insurance for anyone awaiting the outcome of tests. Once there’s a plan they seem quite happy.

I get worldwide travel insurance included with my bank account (RBS) for 4 of us. One of that group has diabetes and high blood pressure. We don't pay anything extra for that.

Mine is close to £400 so that’s a fantastic price. Even before medical conditions it was about £90

Speaking from experience, a lot of insurers won't cover you if you're waiting for any tests/hospital appointments/treatment.

Seems good value. We just arranged annual cover for two with similar health issues for c. £100

You will definitely struggle for those people awaiting treatment. Thats usually a straight decline.

Agree, tried a few weeks ago when I was awaiting an outpatients appointment and it was a straight no. Afterwards no problem.
