Piano apps or books

DD takes piano lessons and is doing really well - so well it's inspired me to want to learn too. Unfortunately I can't afford lessons as all my spare money goes on hers! I was wondering if anyone could recommend any apps or books so I could teach myself?

I'm not totally clueless - in that I used to bash about on a keyboard as a kid and played other instruments, so I can read music and have so far probably taught myself somewhere between grade 1 and 2 standard and I do enjoy having a go at it. I am sure my technique is dreadful though! Maybe some kind of book-based course would be better than an app? Not sure and open to any recommendations.

I went back to the piano after a 50-odd year 😱gap, and from an extremely low base (grade 2 at 10) so it was virtually a case of starting again from scratch.
I used the Carol Barratt books (1, 2 and 3), classical piano but for adult beginners. I found them very good.

You may be able to find them 2nd hand on Amazon or abebooks - I bought virtually all my music books 2nd hand.

Thanks so much for the recommendation - will look these up. Hadn't thought of the second hand bookstores either - that's a great idea too as I'd buy other books second hand but for some reason hadn't thought about music books.
