What is your house made or (or: what can you always find whatever room you're in)

Tidying up today it occurred to me, not for the first time, that it feels like there are as many of the following things as there are bricks in my house:

Books/CDs/dvds (DH)
Vape bottles/coils etc (DH, much to my irritation)

Marbles (ds... So many marbles, in every single bloody room)

Nose studs and earrings (me; I'm probably the worst offender - DH buys me an industrial set every 6 months or somand I've always lost nearly all of them before the next time)

Add to that cat fur (who thought white long haired cats were a good idea?!) And cat toys that seem to hide under every surface

What unintended hoards do you have in your house?

Dog hair and McDonalds teddies (my dog is obsessed with them and carries them round like his babies then deposits them around the house and garden).

Books (me and DH), plants/seedlings (DH), general allotment detritus (DH), bits of ripped-up cardboard (dog), used cups/mugs (DS).

Fur - thanks, cat.
Books - I only have myself to blame.
Plants - as above. I move them in off the deck in the autumn and put the out again when we get past the danger of frost.
Candles - mea culpa.
Towels - the DCs all gave me towels for my birthday last year. Inexplicable.
Yarn and crocheted cushion covers - I taught myself to crochet during lockdown and really went to town with it.

Also - Carmex.

Same as pp's! Lego, books, notebooks and hair bands. Also bits and pieces that were once part of 'build your own V8 engine" type toys and random wires, plugs and chargers. Plus my long hair seems to fall out everywhere.

Nothing , I’m good at chucking out!

I suppose this is a cliche but… books!

In every room except the loo, I surround myself with books.

They were my lifeline as a child living with an alcoholic father and are still my main source of comfort. Stories, both fiction and nonfiction, in printed, audio or kindle form, are always there if I need them.

Other than books, there is an abundance of houseplants, crystals and candles, fairy lights and pretty things I have collected or been given over the years.

Oh and tissues, I regularly have allergic rhinitis, hay fever and sinusitis so there are boxes of tissues in every room!

Thinking about the opposite problem, I can never find a pair of tweezers. I regularly buy new ones precisely because I can never lay my hands on a pair, but somehow they always just vanish 🤔

Lego is specific to Lego dots in this house - the Lego stays where it should mostly.

Kirby grips are a good call, as are hairbands - I'm sure I've bought thousands in my life but could probably locate 5
