In the tv ads, the woman doesn't want to go to a rock concert until her friend recommends these pants. What I want to know is, are they just for little dribbly moments, like when you are doing the doorstep dance trying to find your keys in time, or are they for full on emptying bladder incidents? I looked on their website but couldn't find and answer. I live rurally and public toilets are non-existent, so I sometimes wonder what would happen if I were caught short in the car in the middle of nowhere (am old).

Speak to your continence advisor.

NancyPickford · 21/02/2024 13:27

@DiamondGazette ah, I don't have one, I'm not incontinent. I hadn't realised the pants were for people with incontinence issues, I thought they were more for emergencies. Or perhaps I've not really thought it through. Thanks any way.

What on earth. Of course they're not there for a full wee.

Oh! I always thought they were, because they're made by the same folk who make Pampers.

Perhaps give them a ping on social media and ask?

Not the point of the thread but am I the only one who always thinks how revolting she is to be on that poor blokes shoulders with her pee-filled pants on his neck?

Sandia1 · 21/02/2024 14:38

I think I'd rather have a wild wee if caught short in the countryside...

mondaytosunday · 21/02/2024 14:39

There are different levels of protection, just like with sanitary pads. Some say full bladder, but you would want to change after that. The ad you refer to I think just addresses light leaks.

NancyPickford · 21/02/2024 14:48

@RightMoaningHilda you know, I'd not even thought about that! Plus of course the tight white jeans, reminiscent of the old Tampax ads with the women roller skating etc in white shorts.

This is what I always think when I see the ad, his neck will stink of piss !!

Galeforcewindatmywindow · 21/02/2024 14:59

Why don't the ads advise seeking Dr's advice for wetting yourself before buying such items??

Cheeesus · 21/02/2024 15:00

If you were organised enough to put a pad on because you think you might need a full on wee in your pants, then maybe that’s the time to plan where to go to the toilet.

Because they are just trying to sell them.

Agreed it really annoys me as well. Seek help rather than just buying pads.

Some people have continence issues that means they wouldn't make it to the toilet. People with a varying range of illnesses and disabilities. Or issues regarding cognition meaning they're not able to know/ say or go to the toilet.

I work with people with disabilities and many use pads. Pads range from full wees to just dribbles.
