Scottish Hotel for Fiancé's 30th Birthday

Looking to book an overnight stay for my Fiancés 30th at the beginning of March. Can anyone recommend a Scottish hotel? We stay in Edinburgh and happy to travel up to 2 hours.

Debating whether to take all 3 kids or just the youngest who will be 4 weeks. Our other two are 3 and 21 months.

Currently looking at Trump Turnberry as it has a lot of perks for us! My Fiancé is a very keen golfer and we both love to swim, a nice walk, good food and a few drinks.

The Marine Hotel in North Berwick is lovely, and there's golf right outside the front door. The restaurant is excellent, and there's an nice spa too. (The Rocketeer for fish & chips is also worth a visit.)

Or if he's into whisky, The Craigellachie Hotel has a fabulous whisky bar.

I think I'm swaying towards Fonab and have been quoted a great price so will sort tomorrow. Have always fancied it and completely forgot until the comments came in 🥳

They have recommended a Loch View Lodge room with the kids - has anyone stayed in one of these?

Inverlochky castle if the budget allows
