North Wales and Dinowic Quarry

Hello

My Husband and I are off to Wales for the second time in June and I'm after some advice about Dinowic Quarry.

Is the best parking option by the slate museum?

Is there an obvious route to take or is it easy to get lost?

We've done/are doing Penrhyn Castle, Portmerion, Bodnant Garden, Aber Falls. Any other suggestions of beautiful walks would be great.

Also any good restaurants in North Wales?

You can park at the museum. Plenty of signs to direct you.

please visit Anglesey Barracks, its beautiful! When you drive towards the carpark, you will see a mini roundabout and its left to the carpark and right to the power station (obviously no entry!) but there is a slate path just on the roundabout that cannot be missed and thats the path you need. Yo the zigzag.

I recommend the Black Boy Inn and Fu’s cantonese. Both in Caernarfon.

Do you intend on walking a mountain? I recommend Moel Eilio. Short but stunning views and much less busier than yr Wyddfa

Thanks so much! Are the barracks easy to find?

I've never heard of this one so I'll definitely look into it. We're experienced hikers so happy to tackle a mountain.

I would recommend Dylan’s to eat. There’s one at Menai Bridge and one in Criccieth . Mid range , nice selection
