Dried/artificial flowers for wedding

Looking for recommendations for companies doing dried or artificial bridal bouquets etc.

We’re getting married on an awkward date and the flower market and florists nearby are closed for 2 days before and the day of our wedding so looking for some alternative options.

Happy to pay for something that looks lovely. I don’t want cheap looking artificial flowers 😬

We needed artificial for ours. Our local garden centre had plenty of good quality.

Best of luck

@Spencer0220 Thank you 😊 have been to our local and a couple of better ones slightly further afield and their choice was very limited unfortunately!

Not sure if these would be suitable. There is a company called We Are Little Buds that make high end faux flowers. Might be worth a look Xxx

I got my bridal bouquet and matching boutonniere off Etsy. It was honestly amazing. It looks fab in the pics. The bouquet is now in a vase in the guest room.

I got married many, many years ago 😂 so not sure if this will still be the case.

I had silk flowers for my wedding purely because I was paranoid about the possibility of real ones arriving in not the best condition. No risk with silk!

I had my flowers arranged just with a local florist but had them delivered 2 days early. They were absolutely gorgeous!
Felt and smelt just like the real thing.

Would be worth ringing a few florists to see if they still offer this service.

@herbygarden Thank you 😊 some of their displays are lovely!

@Rosiiee Thank you! I had seen some lovely ones on Etsy but a lot seem to ship from China and it felt like such a gamble ordering with no personal recommendations! I love the idea of getting to keep them 😊

@JadeSeahorse id love them to look as realistic as possible so I’ll definitely look into this, thank you 😊

@orangeandpinks thank you! The stuff in her gallery looks beautiful!! If it’s not too outing, do you have any close up pics of your flowers that you would let me see? No worries if you’d rather not post 😊

I have a few bouquet ideas saved so I’ll maybe send off an email enquiry and see if she could do something similar 😊

I’ve never used them so not a personal recommendation but this dried flower specialist in Shropshire looks interesting.
They certainly don’t look cheap!

@SurelySmartie They are lovely aren’t they? I’ve been having a look on that site this morning 😍 I was a bit disappointed at not being able to get the fresh flowers I wanted but it looks like there’s lots of lovely dried and artificial options! 😊

I would recommend using a home studio- based or event florist if you would prefer fresh flowers, the weird dates won’t matter. A good place to look is on Instagram and you can use various tags to find one in your area. You could also look into hired faux florals from event hire companies. I would be a bit careful with dried as they can be a bit delicate.

My bouquet was dried poppy heads, feather and other dried flowers. I love it, and it still looks great now, 8 years on! Got mine from Etsy, you can easily filter to show "ships from uk" to filter out the made/shipped from China brigade!

Is there a Country Baskets near you? They supply florists. You sign up for a free membership and choose from a million different flowers until you have a bunch or bouquet that's just perfect.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 24/10/2024 19:47

My friend has a dried flower business, Dorset Dried Flowers, she posts as well

Inyourwildestdreams · 24/10/2024 19:52

Thank you for your responses from today guys 😊 Wedding has been and gone a few months ago. We used AngelK Silk Flowers as @orangeandpinks suggested and we were delighted with the results 😊 So if anyone else is looking, I’d highly recommend 😊
