Linkedin question (lighthearted)

I have never used LinkedIn but see references to it sometimes. I've never said it out loud but always thought of it as 2 words....Linked in.
This morning my DH was talking about something and he pronounced it Link-eh-din. 3 syllables. It sounded really weird to me but he insists that's how it's said. (He's the kind of person who is always right, never wrong!!)
Whose right, DH or me?
Or are both ways right ?

I I love this but don't know anyone who says this ( as an active workplace user) however I may start !

Someone I knew at work about a decade ago used to pronounce it like your husband. She was the only one I’d heard pronounce it that way. Up until today.

bryceQ · 15/02/2024 13:23

It's two syllables linked in

Pickledflavouredcrisps · 15/02/2024 13:30

Linked in, I’ve never heard it how he is pronouncing it. LinkedIn official videos all say linked in.

mynameiscalypso · 15/02/2024 13:34

I love the idea of calling it Link-uh-din because it sounds so much fun! But no, it's Ljnked In because you're linked in with people.

Badburyrings · 15/02/2024 13:36

Its literally Linked In, two words but the logo and branding joins them together to one word, but still pronounced as the two words. No one I know refers to it any differently.

CourtenayDevon · 15/02/2024 13:58

I have a friend who worked at LinkedIn California, some years back, pronounced it Link'd in, not link-ed.

MaggieFS · 15/02/2024 14:35

Of course it's linked in - it's all about networking and becoming more l linked in to others.
