Cleaning Kitchen Floor

Does anyone have any good tips for getting a kitchen floor clean?

We have dogs, and the floor is shades of grey with a slight sparkle, but it is also quite textured, so mud from the dogs just gets ingrained into it!

So far, the ONLY solution is to get on my hands and knees with a scrubbing brush, and scrub using floor cleaner and hot water, then keep wiping with a cloth. It takes ages and is physically exhausting! It's quite a large kitchen/diner.

I've tried:

Spray mop - good for a quick surface clean but doesn't remove ingrained dirt. I use it with very hot water and then cleaner.

Mop and bucket - as above, slightly better at ingrained dirt but the water is filthy within a small section.

Steam mop - as above, and no better than the spray mop.

I can't stand having a grubby kitchen floor so short of buying one of those industrial cleaners they use in schools, I am open to all other suggestions!

I thought about making scrubbing brush shoes so I could dance across the floor, then a wiping version for afterwards!

We live on a farm with a muddy dog and lots of animals. No shoes in the house at all. We have slate floors, so bumpy, not smooth and somewhat porous. I hoover and mop. I do it in 3 sections and change the water for fresh in between sections. Works fine, but I'm not down there inspecting it, so no doubt it is still dirty, but it's good enough. I do it maybe twice a week.

We've got 2 dogs and wipe their paws when they come in via the utility. Then mop the kitchen floor with hot water and zoflora once or twice a week
