I'm planning to buy one this month, but I can't really justify paying for a Ninja at the moment.

Would it be false economy not to fork out for a Ninja? Or are there cheaper brands which do just as good a job?

There's only 2 of us at home, but i cook for 3 at least twice a a week, so I'm looking to buy a dual model.

Ideally, I don't want to spends more than £100 - £120.

Thanks

I've got the dual drawer Sur La Table, from Costco, although it is out of stock atm.
I've not used a Ninja so can't compare in use.
I would mention that mine can't be used unless both drawers are in, and someone mentioned on another thread that their Ninja can.

What are you planning to cook in them and how much food?

I've got both a Tower and a Tefal brand air fryers. I like the Tefal one as it stirs the food and you can cook liquids in it, if you want to.

However, the Tefal Actifry started to make a strange sound and I've contacted Tefal who are arranging to collect it and repair it even thought it's almost 2 yrs old. I'm impressed with their service and guarantee so far!

The Tower one is a large 7.2ltr pan style and has been used daily for about 2 yrs too and shows no signs of failing.

I'm not keen on the Ninja brand models myself as their drawer style ones are too small for my needs. For instance, I regularly cook a large chicken in the 7ltr Tower Airfryer. A 4ltr pan would be far too small.

I've got this one OP and I wouldn't be without it.

Thanks all!

I've no idea what I'll use if for yet, but probably nothing too exciting - Chicken dishes, chips, etc.

Open to suggestions of what can and cannot be done!

@ClumsyNinja do you mean you can make soup in yours too?

My brother has a Tower one and seems happy with it, so I might opt for that.

I have a dual drawer ninja & am honestly very glad I payed the extra money for a ninja with the sync button. It honestly is fantastic

I've literally just bought a one drawer airfryer from Amazon for £33 and it's ace. I'm certain you can get a dual drawer one within your price range if you're not bothered about brand name. I'd rather rely on reviews to be honest.

I got the ninja max two drawer. It's fab. There are only two of us

We use it daily and rarely use the oven. Can cook a small chicken in it up to 1.8kg

It has 6 setting d- roast/ air fry / max / crisp/ bake etc but they don't appear to change anything other than the temp!

The match (same heat and time )and sync (diff heat time but finish together) buttons are good.

You probably need to figure out whether you need JUST an airfryer, or whether you would use other functions (pressurecook/slowcook/grill etc).

I bought a Ninja Speedi a month ago from Ninja itself (currently reduced to £149 with 10% discount if you sign up for emails). I guess that it doesn't sell so well in the UK as it is almost 1/2 price. There are 3 of us at home, but we tend to cook for two of us most days or use the oven; it is ample sized for this.

I probably use it most to reheat leftover pizza/pies, cook cheese on toast and airfry diced potato and breaded chicken (there is a steam-fry function that helps keep things moist) or to crisp up baked potatoes after microwaving them. Food is usually cooked in the time it would take for our oven/grill to heat up! It makes great foccacia too (will have to experiment with some more bread recipes).

It is so quick and I have a great range of temperatures I can cook at. I find it really useful to just lift the lid a little to check on progress. Buy an electric thermometer/probe if you are worried that meat might not be cooked.

Mine is a Russell Hobbs one. It cost £50. I love it!

We got a Ninja Foodie 2 drawer just 3 weeks ago, £90 off at John Lewis. Glad we got it as has been said the sync and Match are really useful. Only problem I have is that for the life of me I cannot get my chips to crisp up.
