Just that really- which do you recommend and why.
I'd like to do a bit of healthy living and some organising

Probably depends whether you have an iPhone already or not. I've never had a Fitbit so I can't give a comparison but I do like my Apple Watch for walks and other exercise logging etc. and of course integrated with the phone... I don't always carry the latter around in the house so it's useful for getting calendar reminders, text notifications etc - as well as for finding the phone.

I do a lot of exercise and find that the slim face Fitbit works very well for me. I confess I was put off the Apple Watch as it looks so large on my wrist.

I can't take calls in my Fitbit but it does buzz to let me know my iPhone is ringing. It also gives notifications to WhatsApp messages and email.

I have mine linked to Strava also.

If you have an iPhone then I’d say Apple Watch. It’s so good and lots of apps like couch to 5k can operate on your watch and then sync to your phone when you get back. My watch has blood oxygen and ECG measuring on it too.

To be fair, I’ve not had a Fitbit so I don’t know how they compare. I’m happy with my Apple Watch though.

I've not got those, but DH - who has atrial fibrillation- finds the ecg useful.

I love my Apple Watch. On my second one now.
I like the look of it but I've never been a jewellery person and usually had the classic Casio before.
Answer calls, ping my phone and keys, record my workouts, heart rate and activity. ECG is good imo - DH has a heart conduction problem and it shows really well on the trace

Also, cos the Apple Watch 9 is about £400, my watch is ‘only’ an Apple Watch 6 yet still has lots of health features. So maybe consider secondhand? I bet you could get a 7 for £200.

The downside of an Apple Watch, I believe, which might apply even more to a second hand one, is that it needs charging pretty often - mine is a few years old now and definitely needs a decent amount of time each day.

Re size, I've got small wrists so have the slightly smaller one. I can't imagine how anyone could read or physically interact with apps with anything smaller!

Yes, that was also a consideration for me. The Fitbit only needs charging every 7-10 days in my experience.

I don't need to access everything else from a watch when I can do so from my iPhone (which I carry when running or is at the side in classes to take calls etc). If I were to upgrade I would consider a Garmin watch, as exercise tracking is the most important consideration for me.

I've just turned on the radio, in the middle of a piece on R4 indicating there may be problems with Fitbit now and in the future because of google taking them over. I don't know what it's all about as I'm an apple user but may be worth a listen.
