toddler blinking lots after seizure

2 y/o had a febrile seizure a couple of weeks ago. noticed that day in a&e that she kept doing a weird blinking thing where she’d blink really hard about <10 times and then it was normal again, and then again a few hours or minutes later. it didn’t stop so i took her to the opticians who said her left eye is weaker and gave her glasses. however she’s wearing the glasses and is still doing the blinking thing. i mentioned this to another group of mums who have told me about absence seizures which include blinking as a sign. could this be right? she seems fine when it happens it’s just hard blinking for a few seconds but i am concerned that a) it started right after the febrile seizure and b) the glasses don’t seem to stop it or even calm it a bit

I’d go to GP and ask for a referral. Yes blinking a lot can be related to seizures - worth getting it checked out

@CatPancake gp won’t see her for it they said it’s an optician thing

@orngelemonapple go back to them again and tell them you believe she is having frequent absence seizures. That's a GP job, not an opticians. At the moment they just think it's about blinking a lot.

Film the blinking episodes as often as you can and take the footage with you - the more the better.

See another gp! Try and film her as often as you can to see if you can capture any of these episodes of blinking
