Halal sweets

My daughter is having a birthday party. She is dairy intolerant so we avoid chocolate. She prefers haribo type sweets. We have a few Muslim children attending the party and I want to ensure the sweets I provide are halal. Could anyone give me some pointers of their favourite halal gummy sweets?

You can buy veggie Goldbears. You'd need to check the ingredients, but I'd assume they'd be ok.

You can't really go wrong with the halal Haribo gummies.

You can pick up halal sweets including haribo in the ethnic section in supermarkets usually.

No idea why my reply has been hidden, I only recommended a brand of sweeties.

My child is taking various sweets into school tomorrow for his birthday to give out and we got these Swizzels sweets from Sainsbury’s which are labelled Vegan, as there some Muslim children in his class.

I'd just look for vegetarian/vegan sweets op, as they will cater for everyone, and more widely available. My daughter is vegetarian, and some veggie sweets we've found are... fruit pastilles, jelly tots, drumstick lollies, the haribo strawbs, Starbursts, chewits, the haribo "funny mix", millions, Percy pigs. Candy kittens are good but expensive. Halal might not suit everyone, for ethical reasons, and the fact that they may contain halal (but still animal derived) gelatine, so aren't necessarily vegetarian, so I'd opt for veggie sweets personally.

Oh and I forgot her absolute favourite, skittles!

Most of the local corner shops near us stock wee bags of halal sweets.
