Have a baby but skip primary school LIGHTHEARTED

I'm 40 now and I always wanted 3 kids. I have two dds 11 and 13.

I can't have another as I can't afford it and I have too many things going on with my MH and I have a few diagnosis's. However if those weren't an issue I'd more tempted IF you could have the baby and toddler years then skip to pre teen / secondary.

Obviously given the choice I wouldn't really want a child to miss on ages 3-11 but going back to the school days stresses me out due to autism and anxiety. I know school life is fine for some. I found / am finding every age challenging so I'm not saying the ages above are easy and I know I have lots more to come. I also know many women can't have kids and would give anything for those years.

Anyone else agree? Sort of?? Obviously this is hypothetical and light hearted. I don't mean offence.

Personally I would have another baby if I could skip pregnancy, newborn, and 1-3.5 😂(But still have all the bonding that comes from those years, obvs.)

The best may not be yet to come if you have an 11 and 13 year old!

I would be the opposite: I'd have the 3-11 years please. Happy to have the 0-3 as well, if needs be, including (what felt like) the never ending sleepless nights stage.

But no way would I go through the pre-teens and teenage young adult stage!

Maybr we could time share OP, I have them until l end of primary, you take them after that. Have we got a deal?😂

I have had some VERY hard times with mine (10 now) but those hard times come with amazing times too so no I wouldn't skip

I hear you.

I'm also autistic and really struggled with the primary school run.

Now DP or DGP do it. For a while we used breakfast club/ ASC because I couldn't cope with the crowds noise and social expectations of 9am & 3pm.

DH works away and my mum works but I'd definitely have got them to do it if I could.
