7 days (pretty much) to myself. Help me make a list

Other half and one of our kids is away the first week of March. Eldest child and I will be home. I've booked the week off work, and other than being home from about 4.30, overnight, my days are my own.

Eldest is at secondary, and will be at school all week, but not of an age where they can be left alone in the evenings, plus it will be nice for us to spend some time together without the other two.

I'm planning on forcing myself up at 8am all the weekdays to drop Eldest at school (normally gets the bus) to motivate myself to be up and about, as the temptation to just lay in bed til noon each day will get me.

What would you fill a full week with?

So far, I've got "paint the bannister" and "try and finish the paint by numbers I bought 3 years ago" Grin

I'm going to try and sort all the housework in the week before it, so it'll just be keeping on top of stuff for the week, and cooking minimal, as only feeding half of us etc.

I’d book lunch with my best pal (I’d be able to drive over to where she works with a day off)

I’d make some lovely food that took time and effort. Possibly bake.

weather permitting I’d smarter the post winter garden tidy

sounds like a lovely week. Don’t forget to put your feet up and drink tea too!

Lunch with an old friend.

Manicure & pedicure.

An afternoon on the sofa with a huge bucket of popcorn and a great film.

I would tackle one job that I don't want to do just for that sense of achievement of getting something off the oh-crap list (for me that would be your bannisters, but see also, filing, paying bills, clearing out old clothes, sorting the chaos drawer etc)

Visit a local landmark that you've lived near for ages but never actually taken the time to visit.

Mixture of out of the house stuff, like a swim, pedicure, maybe some shopping, or visiting somewhere nice.

Then some inside stuff. Binge watch some shite. Paint the bannisters. Sort the photos.

Plan meals, book a table for dinner for the 2 of you somewhere different.

Enjoy!

Explore a nearby place one day.
Lunch with a friend or family
Get a massage and a facial, get a nice lunch and spend the afternoon watch films.
Some chores like painting the bannisters and any other thing that you don't get time to do.

I love going to the cinema on my own. Preferably an Everyman where you can put your feet up.

I'd have some beauty treatments done for sure.

Maybe try a new exercise class, reformer Pilates or hot yoga or similar?

Definitely some baking.

Lucky you! Enjoy!
