Credit card Bill vs current balance

I've got a card where I always pay off the bill in full. The latest statement is through but since then I've been refunded some money.
When the payement is taken (set up so every month it's automatic for the full amount) will they take the balance or the amount the statement says? Thanks

They will take the statement balance, regardless of what transactions have gone through since then - so if your refunds hit the account after the statement date, the card will be in credit.

Ok that's what I was wondering. Will be nice to have it in credit, but prob need to change it as I don't think my current account will have enough to cover it.

I've had it differently where they have adjusted the Direct debit for refunds I've received between statement date and payment date. That was NatWest. So maybe depends on the bank

Not all do that
Amex for example reduces the payment amount if refunds come- right up to 2 days before the payment is taken.

It depends on the card. my AmEx would adjust the balance (unless very close to date, when request has already been made). Others I’ve had would least just take the original amount.

It's a Tesco card but I can't find details on the website to see which it will be.

I've got a tesco card and they take any refunds into account and request dd payment for the "statement balance less subsequent refunds".

I have a Tesco credit card as well. I've just checked and I received a £70 refund on 9 Jan and the direct debit came out on 15 Jan at £70 lower than the statement balance. The statement was generated at the end of December,

As an example, statement was £150 on 26 dec, refund was £70 on 9 jan, they collected £80 on 15 jan.

Ooh great so I don't need to change the ' full payment' option add it will only take the current balance. Thanks
