Party food

We are hosting DS's 3rd birthday party at a local soft play venue, between 10am - 12pm. We plan to give each child guest a snack box with Babybel, Pom Bears, fruit (chopped up melon, sliced grapes and a satsuma), twin pack of biscuits & a Freddo at 11am. Is this enough / suitable food for a gang of 2/3/4 year olds at this time - should I be including mini sandwiches or anything else too? They will get birthday cake to take away with party bags of course.

The venue is providing drinks for the kids and we are putting on a drinks tab for the parents - plan to provide some nice biscuits alongside. Is this ok or is more expected / needed please? We haven't been to many parties and this is the first we have hosted to include friends as well as family.

Thank you!

I’d add sandwiches. That’s not enough.

Thank you @Xmasbaby11. I'm very happy to provide as much food as needed / a good selection, just want to avoid waste. There are several guests who don't eat pork or beef so was thinking chicken & cheese sandwiches (separate).

Yeah, just add a little sandwich or roll. Doesn’t need to be big. A sandwich made using 1 slice of bread cut into 2 triangles will likely be enough at this age with everything else you have. They don’t tend to eat much at parties anyway. But I think the parents would expect a small sandwich given it’ll be near lunchtime.

Great, thank you too @DanceMumTaxi!
