Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone doing today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the morning, in my kitchen spot. I've woken up with a headache again - paracetamols again & fingers crossed this cold does one soon 🤞

I'll put the washer on shortly for the towels & wash up the few pots there are. I bought new cutlery yesterday so need to wash that before using it. Won't be doing much else in the way of housework today!

We haven't got anything planned for today other than a walk down to Lidl for cereal and washing powder <exciting>. When we get back, I might paint, or crochet, or solve some more Murdle.

Dd1's still working on her homework so needs to do that, and dd2 was planning to clean/tidy her bedroom so she'll probably do that.

Roast chicken for tea, with roast spuds, yorkshires and veg. Birthday cake from dd1's 17th for afters 😋

After that it's the usual early showers and chill, and early ish nights, ready for work tomorrow. I might file and paint my nails in front of the box 🤔

I’m sitting by a freezing hockey pitch watching DS train.

DH is finally back from skiing today. Travel issues, so he’s been away for 9 days.

I'm doing roast venison for supper.

Good morning lucysmam & everyone. I’m still in bed but will have a shower & wash my hair when DH comes out. Then popping to Tescos for a few bits. Need to sort out the washing. I haven’t seen what the weather’s doing yet. Hopefully it can be hung out. Dishwasher needs doing as per. Easy tea of bangers, mash & baked beans so will peel the spuds later. DD15 will cater for herself or may have a pasta bake from Tescos. She’s in an uncharacteristically good mood today - long may it last! Watching Call The Midwife tonight & may give Trigger Point a go as I really like Vicky McClure. Is it worth watching?

Packing my flat and taking everything to storage
I'm really sad about it. Flat came with my job. Job ended as boss is a tosser and having business taken back from him. He's OK, still has his bloody house.

I wouldn't mind but we've had a week and a half notice, so have had to hire a storage locker and truck which is cost me a fortune.

Then it's at least a fortnight with SIL who talks to me like I'm 14 but at least it's a bed.

But it looks like I may have a new contract in a fortnight so fingers crossed.

Just wes only been here 5 months so it feels like we had just got settled.

Oh dear @WillimNot , what a buggeration 😡, well done on leaving the tosser boss though 🤗
So far today I have stripped and remade the bed, done 2 loads of washing, spent a fruitless 20 minutes looking for something that I know I have seen in the last 24 hours and put a gammon in the slow cooker on a bed of brown sugar.
Dh has done the potatoes for mash and is out with the dog, I have just had a lovely 20 minutes chat on the phone with DD and I will catch up with DS and his family later.
I did go out to do some pottering in the garden but it’s bitterly cold out there despite the weak sunshine (9° apparently but feeling like 6° according to my phone).
Online Ocado shop sorted for this week.
I think I will have a coffee and read yesterday’s paper before I do anything else.

I've been sorting out my fridge this morning and getting rid of those jars that sit in there for years. My neighbours must think I'm an alcoholic after hearing a dozen glass jars land in the recycling bin 😆

My diet has been atrocious for ages and, after a thread I made this week, am having an overhaul. Shopping will be arriving shortly so I'm going to get some batch cooking done this afternoon.

Yesterday, I took a friend for lunch for her 70th birthday. I'd arranged with the pub for balloons and a cake. We had so, so many people come up to our table to offer congratulations and to ask which of us was celebrating our 70th. I'm 52...!! 🤬😂

Just back from a long run, training for a half marathon. My legs are already screaming at me!
Meeting a friend for a late lunch then off to the cinema.
This thread has made me realise that my weekends are all very similar to each other but I'm completely happy with that.
Hope all the headaches/illnesses improve for you all.

Was up early as ds1 (17) had to be up and out to go and coach a football team today. I popped to the gym and now sat with a cup of coffee with ds2 watching Disney 😆🤦‍♀️
Chilled afternoon is in order before the manic week ahead. Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday.

Oh I suffer badly with migraines. They're awful. I've been put on Amitryptiline as apparently they're caused by chronic stress. That will be my job then 😆

Sorting the mammoth of washing out that's been built up.
If we feel well enough later I've promised toddler a trip to the coffee shop down the road, we don't feel up to doing much so very much a lazy day.

I had a slow start but then summoned up the energy to go to the gym. I’ve just started Couch to 5k so I did my second run. Put a wash on before I went and hung it up once back. Had a shower and put a towel wash on. DH is cooking brunch and I’m watching a deer in our garden eating the hedge.

Lazy afternoon planned and baked ham for dinner.
