We considering buying a (second hand) Suzuki Vitaria and wondered what people’s views on them are? The good, bad and ugly? Thank you.

DD has one and loves it. It has needed one repair though which was expensive.

Are they thirsty with petrol or reasonable?

It’s fairly thirsty. She’s young and single and on a good salary. She wouldn’t be choosing it as a family car.

S Cross is much better if you can get one of those instead.

We have an old Suzuki Grand Vitara (2006), but we haven't had it that long so may not have much to say about it!
It is comfortable. It has a 2l engine so is very thirsty. It is very responsive and has excellent acceleration.
I particularly like the cup holder container in the middle, and the arm rest storage box in the middle (other/newer models may not have these). Ours didn't come with Sat Nav but it was easy to retrofit. Lots of leg room in the front. Glove box is quite low and not very big.
That's about it......

We drive brand new ones as fleet cars, they’ve got the cheapest model, no heated windscreen.
Theyre very thirsty, they’re hybrids but don’t seem to flick onto the batteries very often.
Good boot space, hand brake is in a stupid position as it’s a bit over towards the passenger so you’re accidentally stroking the passengers leg.
Theyre OK to drive, but slow on acceleration.
I personally wouldn’t buy one.
