Can anyone help?
I'm self employed but only part time earning between 7-8k a year . I know the national insurance threshold went up .. just wondering do I still need to pay .. it's saying I do but if you read up on it it says no if you earn less that 11k??
Anyone more clued up on this to give some advice??

If your self employed earnings for the 22/23 tax year are between £6,725 & £11,908 then you'll have no class 2 to pay. Instead they'll be treated as paid, so protecting your national insurance record.

It will say you have an amount to pay for Class 2 NIC, but if you click through to the next couple of pages it automatically adjusts to £0 Smile
Just did mine this morning and thought the same thing!

Oh really? This applies to me too. I checked on HMRC website and was told I needed to pay to get credits towards pension. Currently get them as youngest child under 12. Only £3 odd a week though
