How much do you spend on beauty products a year?

and so how much money in a year, in a decade... or in a life time?

Also, how much time, in a day, or a week or a month, on average?

I don't spend anything, so I am curious about what other women spend?

I mean make up, hair dye, nail varnish, etc, and maybe add in hair cuts, manicures, pamper days, etc

I don't mean combs, soap and shampoo and deodorant or sun protection, or anything medically advised. , but add in perfume, if you wear it. Also add conditioners and moisturiser, unless it is medically advised. I would count that as an unnecessary thing for most people. I have never used any moisturiser, and as I understand it, conditioners are only needed for blow dried hair, as it negates the static that blow drying causes, and blow drying is definitely under the category of not necessary. ( I have never owned a hair drier)

If you spend money on sports, gym etc, please count it separately. That maybe counts as a beauty product, but not the sort I am interested in

People might disagree with my definition of beauty products, but I am trying to distinguish between functional things and non functional things but it isn't a clear distinction to make.

So for me, maybe three hair cuts a year - £25 each - £75
And spending on sports to keep fit, which I suppose counts, maybe 6 event entries, £30 each ( average) £180 and possibly two pairs of shoes £70 each and a few other bits of kit (say £100)

beauty - £75 a year - £750 a decade
sport and fitness £420 - £4200 a decade

I use skin+Me prescription for Tretinoin at the moment that is £24.99 per month. I think things like moisturiser spf and make up I don't buy so often maybe quarterly. I generally buy drug store brands so don't spend much maybe £50 per quarter. I don't spend any money on my hair I last had it cut over a year ago and before that it had been over 10 years! I just trim it myself. I run and do Pilates both free apart from the clothing so maybe £150 a year I search for bargains and quite often buy secondhand on vinted!

Cheeky link below for skin+Me you can get a month free justv£3.50 p&p and I get £10 off my next month

2 hair cuts a year at £30.
No make up, creams, serums etc.

Hair for me is the huge expense - cut and coloured every 6 weeks at £130 each time.

Very very little on anything else. I bought mascara recently for £12 and is the only make up I have bought for about 4 years. It all takes me ages to use up.

Moisturiser I wear every day so maybe two pots a year at around £35 each, so £70 a year.

Nothing on sports - a pair of hiking trainers £120 3 years ago that’ll last me another 10 years with luck.

Interesting to see others expenditure.

As much as £100 a montn. Sometimes none sometimes £200. I buy Liz Earle and Elemis both on Ebay or Amazon whichever shows up the cheaper of the two.

Makeup, hair dye, nails, pamper days, manicures - £0 per year

Haircuts - £50 every 7 weeks. Only less than that as sometimes I forget to book.

Fitness £150 per year for a video subscription. Occasionally buy a new set of weights as I get fitter.

I buy a box hair dye 2 or 3 times a year. So somewhere between £20 and £30 a year. My dh cuts my hair. Nothing else.
