Rubbish skips etc costs.

Just looking for ideas for rubbish removal.

Money is not great and I don't have time to wait till its better although I'm kind of ok . But still can't pay extra money because they are branded or something like that.

So skip hire . I think the things I have would full half a 4yrd skip. So a 2 yrd would definitely be ok . But I don't think 2 yrd are very common. On top of the skip hire I would have to pay for a permit which is 70.00.

Also skip if I do wait and load that will cost 190.00.

I have looked at hippo bags and skip bags. It seems to say it would cost me 250-300 to get the bag taken away once full . But it was really confusing me so I could be wrong.

I know there is a van thing where people collect the rubbish and stick it in a van
But in very uncomfortable with then as they will say 100 for example. Get most of it on the van and then bump it to 150. Which I can't do .

I don't drive , don't have a car , I don't have anyone to help or drive so I can't get to a tip.

I'm.not sure if I will get it less than 190 to be honest? I'm in London zone 3

Which council is this though? Most of them run it as it saves them a fortune in clearing up fly tipping.

I can't say what council . My council charges 40.00 for items. Such as a desk , chair, chest of drawers, coffee table
My stuff is not items like this. Mine are bits of wood , broken toys , plastic card . Fly tipping charge is 250 if pay within 10 days or 400 if pay later.

If you get a skip make sure you fill it as soon as you get it. It’s common for some cheeky fucker to see an empty skip and fill it with their own shit in the middle of the night and you’ll still have to pay for it to be taken away regardless!

I have no idea what the zones or councils are in London, but city of London charge £43 for 3 bulky items or 10 bags..

Seems very expensive compared to mine, who are lovely and just take every thing you have. They even removed a piano from inside my house once. (it took them a while as it was heavy)

I'm guessing fly tipping is maybe less common in London with all the CCtV?

Do you have a local freecycle / eco community group? People will often take bits of wood for bonfires or diy projects (I got rid of an old shed & several pallets that way!).

Broken toys can go in the bin, surely? Recycling if recyclable, obviously.

I was struggling with over flowing bins etc . Have sorted it now 👍
