Would you travel?

I have an event to get to just outside Glasgow tomorrow. My train, which was due to arrive two hours before the event, has just been cancelled. I can get a later train that would allow me to get there just in time but I’m worried that this may be cancelled either before I’m due to travel or even en route. I can get a refund if I do it now.

What would you do? I’d really like to get to the event (family thing) but people would understand if I can’t make it.

Just try and go. That’s what I’d do.
what’s the reason for cancellation?

The weather, I imagine

ohmygolli · 22/01/2024 19:04

Well then it probably would get cancelled. Wouldn’t you get a refund for trying again?

BabCNesbitt · 22/01/2024 19:11

I probably would still get a refund, but I’m meant to be coming back the same day, with a really early start, and if it’s likely to be cancelled too, then I’d rather not travel halfway across the country for nothing. Just wondering what others would do in the same situation.

I wouldn't travel. You may get stuck.

WistleToeAndTine · 22/01/2024 19:37

Could you refund the train and drive instead?

BabCNesbitt · 22/01/2024 19:39

No car, sadly! It’s quite a drive, too, so I still wouldn’t get there in time.
