Which is the warmest room in your house?

Mine is my bedroom. I’m already upstairs watching tv as it’s too cold in the living room to stay in there. I will go down to tidy up the kitchen soon and then back upstairs for warmth!

My bathroom because its the smallest room......my sons bedroom is quite warm too as its at the back of the house and gets the most sunshine

Exactly the same here too: the teeny en-suite (all internal walls) or my DS's bedroom.

mathanxiety · 15/01/2024 20:05

The sitting room. The bathroom is the coldest.

Whichever room I happen to be in at the time.

Dining room because the thermostat valve is stuck at the highest setting and we can't turn it off ... need to call a plumber. We don't actually use the room much as we generally eat in the kitchen ... so it's a drying room now Grin.

My bedroom is the warmest in the morning when the heating is off as the heat rises, sitting room is the coldest. When the heating is on the sitting room is the warmest if the door is shut. The radiators are on high in the sitting room, low elsewhere. Wish I had an upside down house on a hill with bedrooms downstairs!

Toddler's bedroom - gets the most sun.

FuckingHellAdele · 15/01/2024 20:18

The one with the great big fuck off woodburner in it!

mondaytosunday · 15/01/2024 20:20

Open plan kitchen/sitting/dining room. Mostly because that's where I have the heat on - I don't put it on in my bedroom. My office is tiny gets the sun so can heat up on its own, but I spend most of the time downstairs. In the evening we have the gas fire on so gets extra toasty!

ISeeTheLight · 15/01/2024 20:21

My office. Which is noted as the nursery on the old servants bells thing downstairs.
Mainly because it has a hot water storage tank in it. Was a balmy 15 degrees today. Joy.

mrsbyers · 15/01/2024 20:34

Living room , huge floor to ceiling windows and south facing also it’s a small room and well insulated so today heating was set to 21 and it got to 28 with the winter sun

FuzzyPenguin · 15/01/2024 20:34

Downstairs loo

lljkk · 15/01/2024 20:36

next to the woodburner

mommybear1 · 15/01/2024 20:40

If the woodburners aren't on the kitchen (ufh/insulation as a newish extension)- if the snug woodburner is on snug/kitchen a roaring 32 on Sunday 🌞

Hedjwitch · 15/01/2024 20:43

Bathroom.

catwithflowers · 15/01/2024 20:49

Sitting room if the log burner is in. Super toasty in there tonight but 10.2 in our bedroom. I dread to think how cold it is in the attic but we have very warm duvets!!

VeryHungrySeaCucumber · 16/01/2024 03:18

Bathroom. Large heated towel rail always on when heating is on, the room retains the heat when it isn't, no external walls or windows. Lovely to get out of a hot bath and not be instantly freezing 😀Good place to dry things quickly for the morning, too.
