This violates her company's policies right?

I have a friend who works at a large global hedge fund. Like think trillions AUM.

She's post pics of her working on her social media. But you can see her Company's Ppt slides and can at times make out what's written.

Depends what's on the slides.

KissMyArt · 14/01/2024 22:26

What did she say when you mentioned it?

If she's convinced it's ok, it actually might be?

doubledogdare · 14/01/2024 22:30

I've not said anything.

But I can clearly see the fact the bottom of the slide today says "limited distribution"

It's not her purposely trying to reveal her slides .it's more of me "oh it's me working today" photo with the work just happening to be in the background

Why haven’t you told her? Maybe she hasn’t realised!

CharlotteStreetW1 · 14/01/2024 22:34

I'd tell her and suggest she takes it down.

I took a video of the aftermath of a crisps incident in my office but as I was about to upload to Facebook (because it was funny) I realised you only had to pause and zoom and you'd see all sorts of client info so I obviously didn't.

DrunkenElephant · 14/01/2024 22:34

Surely you just say “Hey friend, not sure if you know but I can see your slides in the background and wouldn’t want you to get in trouble.”

She’ll either tell you it’s fine or thank you for telling her and take them down.

doubledogdare · 14/01/2024 22:35

Ok thanks will do.

The reason I asked here is basically
1.) Is it an issue really worth mentioning?
2.) If it is, how do I bring it up?

Let her know, seems just lack of attention to the photo. Even though from what you describe the social media post is attention seeking.

LlynTegid · 15/01/2024 10:28

You could do this radical thing of speaking to her, framing it as wanting to save her any difficulties.

Handsnotwands · 15/01/2024 10:39

Why on earth wouldn’t you just say “just heads up but I can see your slides”?

you don’t know her company policies, we don’t know her company polices. To jump straight to considering company policies is odd when you refer to this person as a friend

doubledogdare · 15/01/2024 11:27

I did speak to her today and she replied with a "Oh you can make out what's written? Shouldn't be doing that. Thanks"

Just posted an update today to clarify the reason I made the original post that's all.
