Having a relaxed tidy up day today. I'm 100% child free . That hardly ever happens. I have 2 junk drawes in the kitchen. So i want to sort them and put anything needed in boxes under the stairs. Try make the kitchen for kitchen things only. Do the hall way again and the stairs hopefully I can do all of down stairs . But I'm not gonna stress over it.

Good luck. I’m also having a tidy up ish day. Wfh but there’s nothing happening today so I’m going to try and get through some of the mess and laundry that’s been piling up since Christmas. But also plan on taking it easy and having plenty of cups of tea.

My place has gone down hill since Christmas. I'm just doing it in a relaxed manner today. My main tidy up will be the weekend

Probably a very odd question. But what's within the bracket of normal.

I'm thinking that a house that looks like a show room is probably very well organised. Everything in its proper place. You would never find a messy drawer.

Then I also wounder if houses that are clean and tidy and looking great. Is it really like that ? Or is it just that it's hidden for example several junk drawers. A storage cupboard/unit not in any order or organised. Just shove it in the cupboard sort of thing.

Especially if you have children /busy home.

I'm not sure if I'm making Any sense. Just hoping someone will understand.

I don't know what type of storage to get for my downstairs toilet. I don't know if I should get an actual floor standing storage type cupboard. Or if i should get small type storage that attaches to the wall . It's quite a big ish room for a toilet .

I have a house that is generally fairly visitor ready. Over the last four years we have been doing the place up, so lots of sorting out and chucking stuff away. That means that things mostly have a home and can be put away easily. The knock on effect is that it is so much easier to keep tidy.
I do still have some drawers that I wouldn’t want anyone else to open but they are gradually getting less.
My children are now adults and that also makes a huge difference. No piles of toys anymore.
