If the service is supposed to be free healthcare for all why are some things off limits.
Is it just cost? Surely there could be some option to pay towards this type of need, rather than only having full private as an option, I'm talking:
Cosmetic type stuff breast reduction/augmentation etc
Why can't you have a brace unless your teeth are beyond crooked, so it's no brace or 3k to pay private.
Why can't my DD get foot surgery until she has spent years in pointless orthotics, when the gold standard is a surgical option.
It's like it's only there for acute health issues which is wonderful, but we have other needs we can't get met?
People with terrible acne have to wait years before they can try the top treatment begging their GP.
Why is it such a frowned upon part of the service to get non acute help?
I wonder if anyone can offer any insight or it is just a cost and priority issues and that's that.
