How to Cheer up the home for January

I'm looking for some tips and tricks to cheer up my home (and therefore myself) after feeling flat after Xmas.
The house is clear or decorations and clean once more - but I am feeling flat.
It feels a bit bare. And although this is nice after an abundance of chaos (Xmas decs) .. I want to do something to lift the mood and make it feel cosy and bright again.

What do you do to cheer up the home once in a while ??
All ideas welcome 🌼

A few tea lights and a couple of bunches of daffodils are a good start. I like to make sure everywhere is clean and fresh, putting out a nice new hand wash in the cloakroom and if I've had suitable gifts for Christmas they get pressed into action too (this year I've had two houseplants and a really lovely fig scented reed diffuser)
We keep up some white lights on the mantlepiece in the kitchen and have an open fire which is currently cheering everywhere up a bit too.

Fresh flowers like @Butteredtoast55 says. Not just daffs, but tulips or lilies or anything else you fancy, but nothing makes a place feel 'fresh' and optimistic like flowers.

I have small bouquets of artificial flowers that I rotate for the different seasons on my kitchen windowsill. They are nice ones from our local garden centre I’ve collected stems from over the years.

I have some hyacinths and daffodils, a few candles and a new (cheap) fluffy throw in my living room. Feels fresh but cosy.

Daffodils in simple jars for me, cosy blankets and candles.

Fresh flowers is a really good idea, thank you! I've got quite a few houseplants but no flowery ones. I did see some daffodils in the shops the other day, and have 2 empty vases to put to use.. so I shall be buying a few bunches next time I go!

I'll take any excuse for a new candle, thank you 🤩

I get those cheap pots of hyacinths and narcissi and watch them grow during the month. Definitely the bunches of daffs that will be in the supermarkets now.

I also make a little winter themed display on my mantlepiece - use a lot of silver, blue, shells and a 3D model of a bare winter tree.

Plus, I always keep some white fairy lights up after Christmas. Nice smelling candles too. Winter is my favourite season!
