In reality disparate pairings can occur so long as the bitch is the larger animal. I once saw a local newspaper item about a family who'd assumed their male dachshund and female Rottweiler were fine together un-neutered.

I remember what must be the same article (although I suppose you could have two idiots with those breeds)! The puppies looked rather cute, ISTR.

I have always wanted to know what kind Prague Ratters were. (I described them as looking like a cross between an Italian greyhound and a Doberman.)
Now I am off to google Azawakh which absolutely sounds like it should be living with Hagrid.

@CurlewKate They actually remind me a bit of Dobby, but I think they’re adorable. I’m more of a Spitz breed lady myself…. This is my newly-washed and still slightly damp Shiloh Shepherd Ivy trying to get me to convince my 19y/o DD to share her sausage roll. (Normally very fluffy, not spiky or covered in feathers.) She is afraid of dogs (even the tiniest ones), but guards us vigilantly from any geckoes that dare crawl on the ceiling. She is a 60kg couch potato who has zero belief that personal space is really a thing. Despite it being humid and 30+ degrees, she is still trying to convince me that she is a lap dog. She has the German Shepherd/Malamute “talking” genes and answers whenever she is asked a question. Great company when you have three teenagers locked in their rooms on devices.

Happy endings are a fantastic charity ❤️ we must be in a similar area. We have a happy endings horse
