I've just come downstairs after drinking my first cuppa in bed, for a change. Both girls are awake, but not up yet. I've got a hot coffee & am going to drink it while I scroll, after taking some paracetamol for the headache I have, and putting the pork for tea in the slow cooker.

Plan for the day is varnish the heads of my latest peg people, finish off 2 more peg people and actually crochet the stone for the avocado that I didn't get round to yesterday.

Will also give both girls a nudge to tidy their rooms, and check over their homework.

Pork for tea, maybe as a roast, I fancy roast spuds, and then early showers all round.

Tonight I'll read some more of my book or solve some more Murdle murders then have an early night. Both girls will be in bed early too ready for school and college tomorrow - that's just reminded me, I need to get my work pass out too!

What about all of you? 🙂🧐

Last day of lie in’s here , well till Sat. DH and me have nipped for small shop to Tesco and gave the dog a good run in local park. The DS 1&2 are still sleeping so we are enjoying total peace. We treated ourselves to a fresh croissant each and lots of tea.
Need to make a start on dinner, roast chicken, roasties, stuffing carrots, broccoli and yorkshires I’ll get the ironing done and tidy house etc ready for the working week. Then relax with a wine and cry at Call the Midwife as DH sits and criticises it esp the Turners 😂

It's just after 8am here and I'm just in from a 7 mile run - long shower and ready to take youngest to football training. 12 year wants to go to Starbucks so will drag him along.

Rest of day will be yoga and a lot of food prep for the week ahead. 12 is making bolognese later, otherwise just pottering, and getting house/kids ready for week ahead.

Football training this morning for DS2 and DH, I sell the teas and coffees at the football ground. DS2 slipped over and was covered in mud very early on, so when we got home he was straight into the bath and now he's wearing his new fleecy pj's already. He's very tired and a bit grumpy so it will be an early night for him.

DS1 has been sleeping and gaming so far today.

We've just had cheese on toast for lunch and now I've got to pop to Tesco to get something for dinner, then over to my parents to put away the last of their Christmas decs. Will run the hoover round later if there's time. Also need to write in my new calendar as I haven't got round to it yet and we will definitely forget something if I don't. DH has got ironing to do this afternoon. Early nights all round as we are all back to normal from tomorrow!

I got out of bed at 10:30am no house work to be done woke up had a wash ready for the on MN.

Anjo2011 · 07/01/2024 13:54

Woke up with a headache, took some pills and went back to bed for a while. Up again and have done some housework, helped DD2 with her creative English homework and then we all had a toasted tea cake. I need to do some ironing and make a couple of phone calls. Dinner is a mixture of leftovers so we are all eating different meals which I usually try and avoid but needs must.

Afternoon all, joining in late as it gives me a sense of accountability and achievement!

Got up at 7 and started cleaning - third wash just gone in now. Cleaned the bathroom and removed what I can only describe as a plug monster from the bathroom drain. Stripped the bed and got LO dressed.

Went to church, grabbed some shopping, more washing. Put cillit bang drain unblocker down bath plug (other brands are available 😆). Cleaned bath. Sterilised bath toys. Sorted and packed up Christmas decs. Sorted charity shop bags. Folded one lot of washing.

Now contemplating nipping to shop, or cleaning the porch. Need to sort my bike for cycle to work tomorrow and having an internal debate as to whether I should or just drive!

Slight risk I may be commencing a manic episode!

Rest of the day includes finishing washing, making LO's packed lunch, making my packed lunch, put the robohoover round, do a proper clean on the kitchen. May take a touch of diazepam to relax a bit (!).

Had a roast pork dinner and off to collect an IKEA lommarp cabinet to assemble.

Good afternoon, or is it almost evening?
Started the day with prepping a beef casserole in the slow cooker before taking the dog out for a walk and stopping for coffee on the way back. Stripped bed and remade it, three loads of washing done and dried and put away. Sorted out Asda delivery and tidied up.
Just enjoyed a bowl of pistachios and thinking about having a long bath and washing my hair, cba to move though.

Evening All. Hope everyone had a good day. We went I to London to the Tate and then had lunch, now home chili g with the dogs. I am handing in my notice at work tomorrow having been offered another job elsewhere. Bit nervous about telling them as my boss is lovely but the job is not for me-and the new job will pay more which we need as our mortgage is about to rocket.

Back to healthy eating and swimming training (I'm training to swim the channel) tomorrow after having Christmas off. Feeling quite lardy so looking forward to it in some ways, but I know I will have a few days feeling hangry and craving sugar so need to get through them before I start to feel better.

I wasn’t sure what to do with the day but I started off with some hoovering and washing and even cleaned the bathroom! Now I have to put new sheets on the bed which is never fun but I’m going to make myself do it in the next hour because there’s nothing worse than having to do it just before sleeping. I went for a walk around central London but it was a bit too cold so I cut things slightly short and stopped off to get a cake to eat at home (which I did, with a cup of tea!). I’m going to make roast chicken but I’m not sure if I can be bothered to do potatoes as well so it might have to be with rice and salad.

Evening lucysmam and all.
We've had a nice day out at a local country house, which included the sales in their various barns, a wander round the woods and lunch. (The posh version of bubble and squeak)
I brought home some lovely cushions, candles and some of their really good pies, for the freezer.
Then I watched some Snooker whilst doing some sewing, which I don't recommend, as I have pricked my finger a dozen times.
Some rather uninspiring left overs for supper, which I’m going to palm off onto DH, as I fancy a BLT.
Early bed tonight, as I’m up early tomorrow, taking a friend for a hospital appointment. Must remember the Kindle…

RabbitsRock · 07/01/2024 18:12

embolass thank you - I’d forgotten that Call The Midwife is back. DH & I always look across to see who cries first!

Heck of a day today... Had to put up temporary fencing to move horses and sheep off the field they were in, as it has reached it's limit after all the wet weather. Also had to make a makeshift stable so the horses can come in at night to dry out their feet... That was the easy part! The hard part... Rounding up the naughty sheep, which took way longer than anticipated, and then checking, trimming, treating feet ... None of them wanted to cooperate, I've been head butted and body slammed more than I care to be! Had a hot shower, now in PJ's Infront of the fire with the dog
