I've been to a very cold/snowy country over Christmas and slipped on ice whilst crossing the road. I can't remember how I slipped but I found myself in the middle of the road with the back on my head on the floor. It hurt and I started screaming, I didn't faint and I got myself up and went on the pavement.
An English guy run after us saying he's a doctor and gave me a check right there. He said I had no cuts or bleeding, I had good colour in my cheeks and my eyes were fine. Asked me my name and had a brief conversation. After 5 mins I was fine to walk, went to the toilet and managed to walk back to our hotel.
That day we were travelling back by bus to another city then next day we were travelling back to UK (2 flights) so not exactly an easy journey after my accident.
We managed ok, had some heavy bags but 36 hours later we were home and I was fine. However, I'm feeling a bit dizzy now (it's been over 72 hours since the fall) and feel a little sick. My head never really hurt that bad, didn't take any painkillers but I'm increasingly anxious about the way I feel. Should I get myself checked?
Any positive stories about head bangs?
