Best acquisitions of 2023

Sorry if there is a thread in this already. I thought it might be nice to share the things we have bought or acquired in 2023 that have made our lives easier or just brought us joy. My top two are:
Bean to cup coffee machine - based on the devout following on here and some helpful advice I have ditched the nespresso. It will have paid for itself by Easter in much much cheaper coffee, but more importantly it make a delicious cup.
Ganni ballet flats - not everyone’s cup of tea (or coffee) but they work with so many outfits. They are the ultimate “wrong shoe theory” shoe in that they are so wring for every outfit they are right!

Even thinking about ballet flats makes my plantar fasciitis ache. You may live to regret those!
Mine has to be the air fryer. Just so easy, and saves me money.

Hot air brush. (I got the Tresemme one). DH asked if I'd been to the hairdresser the first time I used it.

A dehumidifier. Technically DH bought it (and I won't lie, when he paid the best part of 300 quid for it I thought it was going to end up a pointless waste) but it has been amazing. Last winter was the winter of window vaccing condensation twice a day, the whole house feeling damp and clothes on airers taking days to dry. After using the dehumidifier consistently we've got rid of the high base level of moisture our house gets in the winter, no more window vac at all and at the point where our roof leaked and one of our walls had water running down it the dehumidifier minimised the damage until we got the roof fixed. It's been incredible.

On a slightly less high level... my bamboo Sleep Oodie. Cool sleep thrills my peri-Menopausal world.

Prior to us affording to rip out and replace our kitchen, I bought a tap converter to make the water be able to swish around the sink. Bloody marvellous.

We also had an air heat pump fitted just before Christmas, and it is bloody fantastic having not only the radiators working but actual hot water. The old system was oil fed and it was too expensive to refil it last winter, and it leaked and made the house smell oily, and the water tank was leaking so all in all it is amazing.

Solar panels in the garden which will cover all our electricity costs from about April to October.

And I bought enough wood to kit out all my potager garden with raised beds which I literally finished putting together and placing on Christmas Eve. So going into 2024 with a fully raised bed veg patch will make a huge difference to the work I'll have to do now, I can just sow, transplant, plant, stake, keep weed free and harvest without all the mucking about with an in ground garden.

So airfryer and hot air brush were purchases in previous years that 100% would have made this list.
We are planning a new kitchen this year so hopefully next years list will be as exciting as @AlisonDonut’s albeit a bit different as we don’t have room for solar panels which is a huge shame
