Out of interest, as the last days of the year wane...

Let's fill the thread with happy memories of 2023, big or small!

I think mine was sailing for the first time in years, I had a great time on the waves!

Probably the biggest single thing was getting promoted, but over the whole year nothing could beat spending it with DD and getting to see her go from a wobbly babbler to a chatty little gymnast.

I got engaged to my partner of 15 years and father of my two children. Didn't realise it until the time rang it was all I'd ever really wanted.

What a lovely thread 💕💕💕💕

Pulp in St Anne's Park in Dublin was an amazing highlight. What a great city! What an amazing gig.

DD smashing it at uni. So proud of her and (even more) her delight in learning.

Being the thinnest I've been in 10 years. I've lapsed a lot in the last few months, and sadly reversed a lot of what i did, but back on it for Monday!

Finishing stage 1 of our refurb and deciding to take a break. Really happy with what weve done.

Having the courage to join a weight loss clinic and I have been losing weight through medication. It's given me the energy and motivation to exercise more and I feel loads better.

Getting a nice payrise and lovely company car, completely out of the blue, it's helped our finances so much.

I'm ending the year in a much better place, physically, financially and mentally. All very positive for the future.

We moved house a month ago! We were in our last house 16 years & i never liked it! Various reasons why we couldn’t move and i just decided enough was enough & this time we were able to do it…managed to pull together Christmas for the kids but got loads of furniture and accessories to get so it feels more like “ours” so thats the plan for the next few months but i love the new house! This time it’s one i wanted to live in and i feel much more positive.

it’s been a good year for the kids - lots of adventures and being “brave” from rollercoasters to zip wires and trying new things. I hope 2024 is a good one

Can I ask what eating is like after and if you went private. Have been thinking about this

Hi jesper1
I went privately to Simon Monkhouse Gatwick Spire and would greatly recommend him. Eating is generally fine but so variable!! For example some days I can eat quite decent amounts of anything and other days is much more limited. As a general rule, if I'm sensible then I can have pretty much any food so long as I don't rush!! Feel free to send me a DM if you have any specific questions, I'm happy to help! 😘

I went to see the Bruges Procession of the Holy Blood, have been meaning to for several years, and it exceeded my expectations, was much more than a cultural procession.

My husband still being alive after a massive heart attack and cardiac arrest in January

My boyfriend visited me in hospital and gave me a little panda. We have in jokes about pandas and it was honestly one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done.

Possibly outing but here goes... (this is the short version 😄)

I booked a European city break for a big birthday. I put out an APB on WhatsApp inviting anyone who fancied it to join us for dinner. Genuinely no pressure.

There were 20 of us for dinner! With only a couple of exceptions, all my most beloved friends and family were there and one couple who I would never have expected but it was brilliant to catch up with them. I felt - feel - so loved.

The whole year has been spectacular on a personal level and I will look back on 2023 with great fondness.
