Honours ... and pronouns

Reading of Liz Truss honours list, set me wondering as to what offence would be committed if someone were to refuse to call someone "Lady" or "Sir" or append an alphabet soup to their name. Is there an offence of mishonouring ?

No, it would just be a breach of etiquette.

When worthless trash like Liz Truss are given the right to confer honours on their financial backers and unhinged advisers, there is no reason for decent people to use their titles.

I agree with someonesEx that it's ok not to refer to someone the way they ask for if you disagree with the reason behind it.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's ok to call someone worthless trash.

There is no such offence as 'misgendering'. It's just plain rude to pretend that a woman is not a woman and insist on referring to her as 'they' because she hasn't been rude enough to coerce your language.

The way our society works, if a person has earned or been granted a title it is up to them to decide whether it is to be used. Otherwise you could get situations like a Labour peer refusing to use a Tory peer's title because they disagree politically, for example.

If an alphabet-soup person who demanded they/them pronouns was given an honour, which sex-based title would they use?
