Cannot stop peeing!

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Don’t seem to be drinking a lot more but I’m up for the toilet 3 times a night and around every hour during the day!

Could you have a UTI?

I don’t want to worry you but I’m sure that is one of the symptoms of diabetes.

LaunchingTeabag · 29/12/2023 17:20

This was one of the first signs I had diabetes.

Hokeypokeyz · 29/12/2023 17:22

@Snoopysimaginaryfriend I suppose I could have but there’s no pain when peeing, and it’s full stream rather than little dribbles.

I haven’t had any other symptoms of diabetes but I’ll definitely nip to a chemist to get a check

It is a sign of diabetes so def get checked out but it usually goes with drinking more and loosing weight and feeling tired.

TheMousePipes · 29/12/2023 17:24

Do you have bubbles in your wee?

AyrshireTryer · 29/12/2023 17:25

Has your sugar in take rapidly increased?

Hokeypokeyz · 29/12/2023 17:36

I don’t think so, no.

Im like this and its not diabetes. Sometimes its worse than others.

The cold makes it worse, a lot worse

Are you in peri menopause?

Eating more veg or salad (presumably not at this time of year)?

PhillMichellsbrother · 29/12/2023 17:44

I have this sometimes for a few weeks every few years. I got checked for a UTI once - nothing. I don’t have diabetes. I actually haven’t eaten sugar in two years. Last time it happened was over the summer and I actually found that drinking more water than usual sorted it in a couple of days.

I did actually ask a nurse once who said it wasn’t uncommon and could be hormonal.

Seadreamers · 29/12/2023 17:54

There is also Diabetes Insipidus which caused you to wee a lot but you would also have increased thirst. Best to see the GP as it could be several causes.

Hokeypokeyz · 29/12/2023 17:55

I don’t think I’m peri menopausal- I’m 32 but suppose it wouldn’t be impossible?

Could you be pregnant? That makes you need to pee more even from the beginning of pregnancy

Hokeypokeyz · 29/12/2023 17:57

@2under2in2024 definitely not! Husband has had the snip 😂

Some teas can do that! When I've tried to reduce my caffeine intake and switched to herbal tea instead, that was such a piss show 😂Lemongrass and ginger tea was delicious, but lemongrass is a diuretic. So is fennel, juniper berry, dandelion root and many other plants and herbs. Or otherwise - if you're having too much caffeine all of a sudden (coffee, tea, Diet Coke even) - that can make you go more.

magicravioli · 29/12/2023 18:12

Check your blood pressure too - higher BP can correlate with increased peeing especially at night.
